A second year experiment we have worked with the farmer on, requesting different kind of mild wulong techniques to be added into the process. The 2024 batch was shaken (yao qing), but this year we put light rolling into the mix, which resulted a more aromatic and pronounced mi xiang profile, similar to dong fang mei ren 东方美人 but in a more thin, delicate frame of Sijichun bai cha.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Mingjian terroir in south Nantou county is very well suitable for the rare winter pick due to hot, dry and stable weather. The tea leaves were able to wither under the sun for 4 hours, then dried indoor from night time till the next day. The last percentage of moisture was dried in dian pei oven at low heat.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA reserved batch we are very content with, continuing last year's successful batch with a new twist.
