East China Min Yue Tea Tour

The Concept of Min Yue

A journey into the heart of local Chinese tea cultures in East China. We welcome you to our home in Fujian province, on China’s southeast coast, to explore the concept of Min Yue 閩粵.

Fujian is a major center for wulong and red tea production, while Guangdong, historically known as Canton, became a hub for trade and consumption, where Chaozhou gongfu cha shaped modern tea practice. Drawing from Pink’s childhood upbringing in Guangdong and our current life in Fujian, we bridge these two worlds to share an authentic, unfiltered view of local tea culture.

Exclusively led by the founders of ho yum tea, Pink and Nadi, this tour offers a unique opportunity to delve deep into the world of iconic tea cultures. We will meet esteemed professionals and our trusted mentors, gaining direct insights into traditional craftsmanship and various aspects of tea art.

  • Small Group

An intimate group of up to 8 travelers, guided personally by Pink and Nadi

  • 13 Day Journey

Grounding workshops in our tea space, followed by a deep road trip through historic mountains

  • Original Program

Every activity was planned exclusively for this tour, based on our own experience

  • Culinary Heritage

From rustic mountain kitchens to Michelin-starred dining, we will explore 8 distinct micro-cuisines

An Immersive Hybrid Tea Journey

This 2 weeks journey balances foundational preparation with practical field exploration. We begin with tasting workshops in our Xiamen tea space and warehouse. By hosting these introductory practice sessions in-house, we ensure you arrive at the tea mountains well-prepared and knowledgeable, while removing typical logistical limitations and avoiding extra costs. This allows us to offer a complete educational experience while making the trip more accessible.

The primary advantage of joining this program is the direct access to high-quality content, services, and materials, moving far beyond the standard tourist sightseeing common in these iconic locations. As we explore the historic regions and diverse micro-cuisines together, your foundational knowledge will provide a clear, factual understanding of the local tea industry.

  • The trip was very fun and educational, I enjoyed the stay in the wuyi mountain range the most. I learned a lot about tea in general and wuyi yancha and tieguanyin teas specifically. the food was great too. The in detail explanations about chaozhou clay were very interesting as well.
